HORECA Menorca, sponsored by Consell de Menorca through Fundacio Foment del Turisme de Menorca (FFTM) and in collaboration with Ajuntament de Mahon, completed the first edition of a professional gourmet fair with over 100 brands on display. The inauguration was attended by Consell de Menorca, the Director of Professional Training and Higher Artistic Teaching, the Director-General for Policies on Food Sovereignty, and different associations related to the local gastronomy, hospitality, and tourism sectors. The organization prepared a program of activities to promote the talent of local chefs, including contests such as “Best Gourmet Sandwich,” “Best Disposable Fish Preparation,” and “Best Gourmet Pizza.” Winners received a trophy and €500. HORECA Menorca is exclusive to hospitality and catering professionals invited by exhibitors. This fair is the largest professional hospitality and catering fair in the Balearic Islands, with six editions in Mallorca, a second one in Ibiza, and its first edition in Menorca.
