Maurice Dini, a telecommunications engineer from the Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas, Venezuela, has been appointed the new Regional Sales Manager for the Mediterranean at Cambium Networks. With more than 24 years of experience in the telecommunications market, Dini joined Cambium in 2018 as the Regional Technical Manager for the Mediterranean, with responsibilities including technical development of the sales channel and pre-sales support for partners. In this role, Dini has developed Cambium’s connectivity solutions market in Spain, Portugal, and Greece, for both communications operators and the business environment, including wireless backhaul solutions, WiFi and Ethernet connectivity projects. He has also worked on developing new security and network optimization solutions that offer customers a unified and homogeneous solution. As Regional Sales Manager for the Mediterranean, Dini will focus on business development, sales and channel enhancement, and partner relationships, driving Cambium’s leadership in these markets, with a special focus on operators and ISPs, carriers, vertical markets, large accounts, and the public sector. In Dini’s words, wireless connectivity solutions are creating a new paradigm in the market, with instant service provision, and exponentially lower deployment costs than fiber optic cables. These solutions are eliminating the digital divide, connecting rural Spain, and have made significant inroads in the business world. According to Dini, this growth will bring new additions to Cambium Networks in Spain and will be accompanied by new technological developments, including AI-based solutions, which will optimize and simplify network management and enhance the user experience and service quality while providing state-of-the-art cyber security layers.
