Life Length invierte más de 2 millones de euros en su nueva sede para el diagnóstico genético

Life Length, the Spanish laboratory specializing in telomere diagnostic testing, has invested over €2 million in the construction and launching of its new headquarters in Tres Cantos (Madrid). This facility, with its 700 square meter space, is in addition to the existing clinic located at General Martínez Campos 46 and its headquarters in Madrid. With this investment, Life Length aims to expand its global market for telomere analysis testing services for both disease research and early detection. The company has developed pioneering genetic tests based on telomeres to detect cancer early and avoid unnecessary biopsies. Life Length is the only Spanish laboratory accredited by the US Department of Health’s CLIA and currently provides services to corporate entities, pharmaceutical industries, physicians, and patients in more than 35 countries.

Life Length’s new headquarters will continue to develop its patented telomere measurement technology to detect numerous diseases more effectively and at an earlier stage to enable patients and professionals to take necessary health interventions. The company is proud to employ highly qualified personnel such as doctors, molecular biologists, physicians, pharmacists, and computer engineers, among others, some of whom were called back to the Spanish scientific community after working abroad, according to Stephen Matlin, CEO of Life Length. Two-thirds of the more than 60 employees who work in the new laboratory are women.

During the pandemic, the laboratory generated more than €20 million in COVID testing revenue. The expansion process, including the opening of a new headquarters, is part of an overall strategy to attract new partners and continue investing in developing more preventative and anti-aging medicine solutions and tests, said the Life Length CEO.

The inauguration of the new headquarters in Tres Cantos was attended by around 100 individuals from the health and local political sectors. The mayor of Tres Cantos, Jesús Moreno, noted the town’s favorable conditions for innovation and welcomed Life Length and its employees to the city. Among those present at the event were Pedro Alejo Irigoyen, Deputy Counselor for Economic and Financial Management and Pharmacy, Fidel Rodriguez Batalla, Deputy Counselor for Universities, Science, and Innovation, and Fátima Mera, Councilor for Public Health, Interior, Economic Development, and Employment of Tres Cantos.
