Globe Telecom, a telecommunications company marketing its services through the FIBERGREEN group, has deployed the first network in Europe based on Cambium Networks’ 5G fixed wireless CnWave 26GHz technology, supplied by Sistelec. The new network provides a high-speed, low-latency wireless connection that allows users to enjoy a faster and smoother browsing experience. The 5G Fixed Wireless from Cambium uses frequencies between 26 and 28 GHz and 5GNR technology used in mobile 5G technology. The technology helps eliminate the digital divide in areas where fiber optics do not reach, allowing users in rural areas to access high-quality and fast internet services. The deployment of Cambium’s technology could help rural areas connect to the internet with speeds of up to 300Mbps.
