Vox’s candidate for the Presidency of Castilla-La Mancha, David Moreno, has proposed a Family Economy law for agricultural and livestock farms in the region as his party’s first legislative proposal should they attain parliamentary representation. During an interview with Europa Press, Moreno specified that it would not be a law «like those already being attempted» by the current regional government, ruling out extremes such as «a land bank», which «would involve the expropriation of land from farmers and livestock farmers». In his opinion, «the laws that need to be passed are laws that provide solutions to real problems». Laws to reduce bureaucracy, to make the administration more agile and to ensure generational replacement «in our producers». Laws, he added, for the establishment of new companies in the region, and for those that exist to continue to grow and create jobs, without encountering an administration that puts up «obstacles» and «does not allow them to grow».

Regarding whether Vox would propose modifying the Electoral Law or reforming the Statute of Autonomy of Castilla-La Mancha, David Moreno stated that «other priorities come first», such as unemployment, healthcare or education. «What is urgent today is to solve the problems that most concern the citizens of Castilla-La Mancha; we want there to be employment, we want there to be quality healthcare, and we are going to focus on all those priorities», he stressed.

In terms of legislation, he proposed repealing existing laws such as «the trans law, approved in consensus in May of last year with the PP, PSOE and CS». «A law that was made very quickly, without debate, and was approved by consensus because the PP did not want to and did not bother to put limits on the ideological advance promoted by the PSOE», he revealed. He added that similar laws passed «in other countries» were creating «harm» to young people. «It cannot be that a child, a young person, in a moment of doubt, undergoes a treatment without undergoing any psychological control of any kind,» he asserted, insisting that it was a law «that will have to be repealed».

Asked whether this repeal will be a Vox demand to lend hypothetical support for a PP government in the region, Moreno commented that «the red lines will be seen» once the results are in on May 28th. «The more strength and votes we receive, the more we can influence to make a real change in the management and politics of Castilla-La Mancha,» he added. Nevertheless, the Vox candidate warned that there would be «many things» to modify, but above all, he said, «to solve problems, to eliminate bureaucracy, and to ensure legal security and, above all, freedom». «You cannot be imposing an ideology through the Official State Gazette day after day, as socialist governments are doing, who are more concerned about their ideological advance than they are about solving the concrete and daily problems faced by the citizens of Castilla-La Mancha,» he said.
