Isaac Martín, Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Castilla-La Mancha and Director of the Center for European Studies, believes it is necessary for the regional government to develop specific regulations to audit and control the development of artificial intelligence. Speaking to the press, Martín stated that while there has been some progress in regulating digital rights, such as the charter of digital rights and the decree law recently passed by the Extremadura government, there is still much more that needs to be done. He stressed the importance of creating specialized bodies within administrations to audit and verify the data used and to ensure transparency. Martín also outlined the need for a multidisciplinary approach, taking into account not just legal perspectives, but also ethical and technological considerations. He made the comments ahead of the XXXIIII Seminar on Autonomous Studies, which will explore current issues related to autonomy, including artificial intelligence, depopulation, and housing from a legal perspective.
